William Lawrence of Middleport, NY, passed away February 27, 2017. He was born on March 7, 1921 to William and Annie (nee Wolfgang) Lawrence.
William was electrician for Niagara Mohawk. His wife, Laura, passed December 4, 2016 They had been married for 74 years. They loved to travel and have been to all 50 states. William was a member of the American Legion Post #1451 and was a member of the VFW. He was a proud Veteran of WWII. He also was an avid bowler and enjoyed hunting.
William is survived by his two children, Sally (James) Wagner and George (Bianca) Lawrence. Grandfather of Lora, Darla, Jay, George Jr., Francine and Gina. Survived by 10 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by five brothers and three sisters.
The family will be present on Thursday at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 6369 Wolcottsville Rd., Wolcottsville, NY, from 10:00 to 10:30 AM to receive friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM.
