Lewiston, NY - Walter S. Maurer, 83, passed away peacefully at Our Lady of Peace on February 12, 2026.
Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Elmer W. and Stella (Buchalski) Maurer. He graduated from Niagara Falls High School and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps with an honorable discharge.
Walter is survived by his sisters Patricia, Janet (Dan), his brothers Jim (Sheila), John (Cheryl), and Robert. Walter has a niece Jennifer, a nephew Johnny, and several cousins.
The family would like to thank Our Lady of Peace for taking care of our brother Walt while in their care.
Our dear brother Walt will be forever in our hearts.
