Virginia Mary Wilbur, 88, of Medina, NY, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at Unity Hospital, Rochester, NY. Born on March 9, 1930 in Norwich, NY, she was the daughter of the late Stewart and Elsie (Whitehead) Messenger.

Virginia grew up in Norwich, NY, and moved to the Medina area in 1989. She was employed with Southland and lastly with Niagara Foods, retiring in in 1993. In her spare time, Virginia enjoyed her garden.

She is survived by two sons, Willard "Willie" Wilbur of Shelby, NY, and Wayne D. "Tony" Wilbur; and a granddaughter, Kimberly Wilbur,both of Barker, NY; a sister, Mary (Carl) Boyle of Medina, NY; and many nieces and nephews.

Virginia is predeceased by five siblings, Sharon, Audrey, Blanche, Orton, and Stewart.

Relatives and friends may call on Friday, August 24, 2018, from 10-11 AM at the Bogan & Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl St., Medina, NY, where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM. Burial will be private for the family in the Hartland Cemetery.
