Thomas M. Wishowski of Newfane, NY, passed away peacefully, after a brief illness, on September 19, 2021 with his family by his side. Born May 18, 1941 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Anthony and Genevieve (Sas) Wishowski.

Tom graduated from Niagara University in 1963, where he earned his BA in Education. Following graduation, he immediately enlisted, where he rose through the ranks and honorably served in the United States Army in Europe, Vietnam and the US until his retirement in 2008.

He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and canoeing. He also had a passion for reading, as well as passing along his vast knowledge and skills to students of all ages. Above all, Tom loved spending time with his family.

He was the beloved husband of the late Roselyn (Rush) Wishowski; father of his adored son and spouse, Michael (Pamela) Wishowski; and grandfather of his treasured grandchildren, Erica Wishowski and the late Theodore Wishowski. He is also survived by a niece, nephew, great-nieces, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law and countless friends.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 5-8 PM at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME INC., 2670 Main St., Newfane, NY 14108.
