Sue A. Nickel, 69, of North Tonawanda, passed suddenly on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at DeGraff Memorial Hospital. Born in Cobleskill, NY in 1947, she moved to North Tonawanda when she was 18 years old. Daughter of the late Robert and Lila McDonald and Olga and Robert Barlow.

She worked at Gelose Florist as a floral designer for many years. Sue enjoyed crafting and selling her crafts at local craft shows. She and her family enjoyed their summer home in Gasport. A loving grandmother, 'Nana,' her time with her grandchildren was so very special.

Loving wife of 47 years to James T. Nickel, Sr., of North Tonawanda. Beloved mother of Deanna Wilson, James T. (Nancy) Nickel, Jr. and Debra (James) Wasielewski. Proud Nana of Lydia, Sophia, Ian, Ryan, Madison, James T. Nickel, III and Jake. Dear sister of Larry (Vicki) McDonald and Alice (Hank) Walters. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and her loving dog, Sassy.

Friends will be received by the family on Saturday from 2-4 PM at the Brunner Funeral Home, 156 Robinson St., North Tonawanda, where a Memorial Services will follow at 4:00 PM.

The family requests that memorials be made to Niagara Hospice, Inc.
