Robert S. 'Bob' Greene, Ph.D., 72, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. Born April 29, 1951 in Dayton, OH he was the oldest son of Phillp and Caroline (Henninge) Greene. Bob received his bachelor's degree and master's degree from Niagara University and his PhD in physiology from the University at Buffalo.

He began his teaching career in the Biology Department at Niagara University in 1981. He taught for 42 years and was chair of the department for 29 years. He was an Assistant Cancer Research Scientist at Roswell Park Cancer Institute from 1982-2008.

Bob entered the United States Army in 1971. He served his country for 28 years, retiring in 1999 as Major from the Army Reserve. He was an avid bird watcher, a fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Guardians, and the Buffalo Bills.

He is survived by his loving wife Connie (Guthrie), his children Rochelle (Chad) May, Christopher (Kristy) Andrea (Eric) and Michael. He was beloved Dziadek to Sophia, Althea, Caden and Ellie. He is also survived by his brother, Timothy and sister, Lisa.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 9th from 4 - 8 PM at ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME INC., 319 24th St. NF, NY 14303. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday January 10th at 11AM at the Niagara University Alumni Chapel. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT THE CHURCH.
