Ralph E. LaFreniere, of North Tonawanda, NY, passed away on Wednesday November 6, 2019, at the age of 83.
Beloved husband of 62 years to Alice (nee Genewick) LaFreniere; loving father of Marcy (Larry) Hromowyk and the late John Michael LaFreniere; proud grandfather of Michael (Carley) Hromowyk and Dr. Amy Hromowyk; and great-grandchildren Estella and Emilia; son of the late Felix and Mary Ann (Nee Prue) LaFreniere; dear brother of Pearl Swieca, Jean Smith and predeceased by five brothers and two sisters, also survived by his sister-in-law Christine (Donald) Stravino, several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Ralph was a retired North Tonawanda policeman where he served for 42 years. Ralph owned and operated Caesar's Banquet Center and was a member of the Third Warders Social Club, North Tonawanda History Museum and the VFW Post 917.
Family will be present to greet relatives and friends, Sunday, November 10th, from 3-8PM, at the SABER FUNERAL HOME, 549 Oliver St., North Tonawanda (692-0271). Family and friends are asked to gather at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church (Oliver St.) for A Mass of Christian Burial Celebrated Monday at 9:30AM. Interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Flowers graciously declined. Memorial gifts may be made in Ralph's honor to Niagara County SPCA or North Tonawanda History Museum.
