Sanborn, New York - A lifelong resident of Sanborn, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2026, at the age of  79. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on July 26, 1946, the daughter of the late Rollin and Frances (Cindrich)  Broeker.

Patricia graduated from Niagara Wheatfield High School in 1964 and soon after married her husband, Jim.

She dedicated her professional life to education, retiring as a Teacher Associate from Orleans Niagara BOCES, and served proudly as an officer in the CSEA Local  903 Unit 1. Pat was a life member of Tri-Community Ambulance, an active participant on the Niagara Wheatfield Reunion Committee, and a member of the Sanbornites Seniors.

She cherished quilting not just for family and friends but also for those in need, and she was a devoted member of the Riverlea Quilters Guild on Grand Island. When she wasn't creating beautiful quilts, she could be found enjoying time at the casino, taking bus trips, or supporting local fundraisers with friends.

Patricia's greatest joy was her family. She treasured every moment spent over the years with her beloved husband Jim, her children, and cherished being Nana to Livi and Colin.

Pat was predeceased by her husband, Melvin "Jim"  Etue, and her two sons, Douglas  James  Etue and Christopher  Jon  Etue.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Nicole (Brian)  Scavone, her grandchildren Liviana and Colin  Scavone, her sister Susan (Kevin)  Guenther, her nieces Aimee (Matthew)  Sturgeon and Bethany (Jon)  Patterson and her cousin Mary  Behnke.

Her family will be present on Friday, June 19, 2026 from 4-6:30 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, followed by services at 6:30 PM with the Rev. Brian Rotach officiating.
