Nellie (Williams) Shimmel
Nellie M. (Williams) Shimmel passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 16, 2020. She was 91.
She was born in Wallaceton, Pennsylvania on November 9, 1928, a daughter of the late Clyde and Emily (Hummel) Williams. She married Harold Shimmel in 1946, and they moved to Niagara Falls in 1950.
Mrs. Shimmel worked in customer service at K-Mart for many years, was a member of the Red Hat Society and she volunteered at the Trott building and the John A. Duke Senior Center.
She is survived by two children, Darlene (Frank) Previte and Marvin (Maxine) Shimmel; her brother, Toben (MaryJane) Williams; two sisters-in-law, Diane (William) Twist and Gail (late Kenneth) Shimmel; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by five siblings, Mildred Shaw-Parker, Marvin Williams, Clyde Wesley Williams and Donald Williams.
Friends may call at the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, Sunday (tomorrow) from 1-4 PM, where funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 AM, followed by burial in Riverdale Cemetery in Lewiston.
