Mary Alice Wooten, age 76, passed away quietly in Arlington, Texas under the care of her son and area Hospice on Tuesday, November 21, 2023. Mary Alice was born in Chadbourn, North Carolina on October 7, 1947, to the late Samuel J. Wooten and Alice L. (Brown) Wooten.
She was the mother to Stevan Wooten and grandmother to Ariana (Ernest) Pettway, Leah (Joshua) Wooten-Gagne and Amanda Wooten; great-grandchildren Amerie White, Mia Green, Chloe Brown, Zoli Njobe, Detravion White. Sister to Samuel (late Sharon) Wooten, Herman (Denise) Wooten, Michael Wooten, Timothy (Shirley) Wooten, Tyrone (LaVoris) Wooten, Herbert Wooten, Alfred (Vera) Wooten, Delois Wooten, Dorothy Wooten, Valerie Wooten, Sonya (late Johnny) Mulkey, Barbara Hooper, Tracey (late Bobby) Daniels, and Stephanie (Jason) Calhoun; sister-in-law Earline (Late Daniel) Jones and a host of other relatives and friends.
Predeceased by her longtime companion Chester Jones, Sister Phyllis Wooten.
Visitation Monday, December 4, 2023 at 11:00am in the Mt. Erie Baptist Church 1152 Fairfield Ave. Funeral to follow at Noon. Burial Oakwood. Arrangements by WILLIAMSON FUNERAL HOME 635 Main Street.
