Loretta J. (nee Samluk) Tarpinian of Youngstown, NY entered into eternal life Monday, February 22, 2016. Born in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Sophie Samluk. Loretta attended St. Stanislaus School, Buffalo and graduated from Bishop Colton High School. She was a sixteen year member of the Stephen Sikora Post 1322 Auxiliary and served in the capacity of sergeant-at-arms, first and second vice-president and chaplain. Loretta, always the volunteer, worked in the kitchen during Monday Night Bingo at the post and served during their monthly spaghetti dinners. Loretta not only served as the Niagara County Auxiliary president for the 2008-2009 term, she also chaired many committees. She was a lector at St. Raphael's Parish in Niagara Falls.

Beloved wife of 25 years to William Tarpinian; dearest mother of Larry (Dawn) Serwacki, Sandra Bereza and the late Brian Serwacki; loving grandmother of seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; dear sister of Michael Samluk; also survived by two nephews; her mother-in-law, Lorraine and sister-in-law, Gloria Tarpinian.

The family will be present to greet relatives an friends FRIDAY, February 26 from 4 to 8 at the SABER FUNERAL HOME, 549 Oliver St., North Tonawanda (692-0271) where a Prayer Service will be offered Saturday at 10:00 AM. Interment St. Matthew's Cemetery. Flowers graciously declined. Memorial gifts may be made in Loretta's honor to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
