Kenneth Lee Shuett
Kenneth Lee Shuett of St. Augustine, Florida, passed away on November 1, 2019, after a short illness. He was born on August 12, 1932 in Barrington, Illinois to Esther Anna Jahnke and Waldo Carl Shuett.
He grew up in Barrington, graduated from Barrington High School and attended the University of Illinois. He joined the US Air Force and was a radio operator on a PT boat during the Korean War. Later he was assigned to the 34th Crash Rescue Boat Flight, Youngstown, NY, where he met his wife and raised three children. The family moved to Florida where he lived for many years and retired from Patrick Air force Base Support Center for Kennedy Space Center.
Ken is survived by three children, Kenneth Shuett and wife Joanna from Pittsboro, NC; Richard Shuett and Cheryl from Manteo, NC; Gerald Shuett and Angela from St. Augustine, FL; ex-wife Barbara from Pawleys Island, SC; eight grand children, 15 great-grandchildren and his little Shitzu best buddy, "Rebel".
Immediate family will hold a private memorial service in his favorite place in the mountains of North Carolina.
St. Johns Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
