Niagara Falls, NY - Karen E. Szuder, 75, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025 after a brief illness. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on August 30, 1949 she was the daughter of the late Frank L. "Fritz" and Anna M. "Pivers" (Alex) Piwowarczyk.

Karen worked as a registered nurse and a supervisor for 27 years at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, where she was "affectionately" known as "The General". After working for NFMMC, she worked as a supervisor with the New York State Insurance Fund for 20 years, retiring in 2021.

She is survived by her siblings, Ann (late Hank) Lisowski, David Piwowarczyk, and Barbara (late Henry) Zajac; nieces, Laurie (Kent) Frey, Leigh (Jeff) Ford, Beth (Denny) Klidonas and Heather (David) Colangelo Jr.; nephews, Gary Lisowski, Jason Piwowarczyk, Mark (Jennifer) Piwowarczyk, Henry E. Zajac II, Matthew (Janelle) Zajac, Frank (April) Zajac and David (Alyssa Narkiewicz) Zajac; 29 great-nieces & great-nephews and 1 great-great niece. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Frank (Patricia) Piwowarczyk; sister, Geraldine S. ''Gerri'' Piwowarczyk and niece, Meghan White-Piwowarczyk.

There is NO PRIOR visitation. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:30 AM on Thursday, April 24th at St. Mary's of The Cataract R.C. Church, 259 Fourth Street, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev.
