Gordon L. "Gordy" Rowles, 84 years old, passed away on September 30, 2023 at Lockport Rehab and Health Care Center. He was born on December 3, 1938 in Clearfield, PA, the son of the late Droze Rowles and Hannah "Ann" (Chicola) Golba.

Gordy moved to Niagara Falls in 1951 and joined the United States Army on January 17, 1956. After serving in Korea he was honorably discharged on January 16, 1959. Gordy was employed at Washington Mills as a supervisor retiring after 40 years in 2001. He was a school bus driver for the Niagara Wheatfield School District from 2003 until 2021. He was an avid golfer and scored a hole-in-one; he enjoyed playing knock rummy and traveling with his brothers.

Gordon is survived by his wife, Alma Jean "AJ" (Fields) Rowles; his daughters Sandra Hofschneider, Diane DeLong and Jackie Rowles; his grandchildren, Jenna (Robert) O'Connell, Justin Hofschneider, Ryan Hofschneider, Briley DeLong and Logan DeLong; 4 great-grandchildren and his ex-wife, Vicky Rowles. He was predeceased by his brothers, Harold "Skip" (Lorraine) Rowles and Kenneth (Helen) Rowles.

Friends may call on Friday from 2 until 4 pm at the LABUDA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 356 Portage Road. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Gordy are asked to consider the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306.
