Gladys Rankin Obituary

The heavenly gates opened to welcome our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Lady Gladys M. Rankin, age 85 of Niagara Falls, NY, unexpectedly departed on Friday, July 15, 2022. She was born October 21, 1936 in Dozier, AL, to the late Franklin and Elzadie (Burnett) Haugabook.

She is preceded in death by her siblings, Annie Maude Ware, Charles Haugabook, C.W. Haugabook, James Carl Haugabook, and Derosha Haugabook and her grandson Samuel David Rankin, Jr.

Left to treasure a lifetime of memories are her beloved husband of over 65 years, Bishop Sammie L. Rankin; five sons, Uland (Janice) Gladden, Kevin (Kathleen) Haugabook, Samuel David (Lila) Rankin, Paul Rankin, and Jason (Patricia) Rankin; seven daughters, Vanessa Rankin, Gigi Rankin, Sheila Rankin, Alisa Rankin, Marcia Faith Rankin, Kaunita (Bishop LC) Barnes, and Ericka Rankin; 18 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Katie Haugabook; and a host of nieces and nephews, loving cousins, and friends.

The viewing hour will take place Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at 10:00 AM followed by the Celebration of Life service at 11:00 AM both to be held at New Jerusalem Revival Center ICOGIC, 2723 20th St., NF, NY. Elder Lomax Barnes, pastor. All are required to wear a facial mask covering.
