Pittsford, NY - George W. Shaw, age 81, loving father and grandfather, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2026 after a period of failing health. He was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Norma Shaw, and his sister-in-law, Shirley Shaw.

George is survived by his daughters Martine (Joe) Kenneally and Janelle (John) Craddock, grandchildren Jacob, Madeline, Elizabeth, Caroline, Ryleigh, and Taryn, brother, Richard, and nieces and nephews.

George West Shaw was born on April 17, 1945 in Niagara Falls, NY. He was a proud graduate of Niagara Falls High School Class of 1963. George served in the US Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. After his service, George furthered his education at Bryant and Stratton College, where he learned the skills that would serve him throughout his distinguished sales career.

George enjoyed a long career at SKF, where he became a respected figure in bearing sales. His colleagues remember him as a dedicated professional whose work ethic was second to none.

George was an avid golfer, gardener, and an animal lover. He was well known in the neighborhood for always having a biscuit ready for a passing dog. George also spent plenty of time spoiling his grandchildren, and cherished the annual family camping trip to Allegany State Park. He was happiest when surrounded by his family, friends and pets.

George will be remembered as a devoted father, grandfather, friend, and neighbor.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
