Eugene (Bud) L. Coddington, age 87, of Wheatfield, was called peacefully to his heavenly home on March 15, 2018, while at Niagara Hospice. Born in Pittsburgh, PA on October 24, 1930, he was the son of the late James and Jean (Meyer) Coddington.

Bud served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. After serving, he was employed in construction and later became a long-distance truck driver. He retired from Central Transport in 1999. Bud was a long-time member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, loved traveling across the United States, enjoyed playing pinochle, and was an avid NASCAR fan.

Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Joyce (Ferchen) Coddington; four children, Kenneth (Allison) Coddington of Sanborn, Karen (Stephen) Hodge of Ransomville, Keith (Kathleen) Coddington of LaSalle, Kurt Coddington; sister, Jean (Ernie) Rakstad; and sister-in-law, Sue Coddington of Chicago; five grandchildren, Kristina (Shawn) O'Connor, Elizabeth (Jonathan) Geldard, David, Rachel and Kelly Coddington; two great-grandchildren; also many nieces and nephews. Bud was predeceased by two brothers, Louis and Joseph Coddington; and a sister, Vera Shigihara.

His body has been donated to the State University of New York at Buffalo Anatomical Gift Program. A memorial service will be held at Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, 6630 Luther Street, Niagara Falls, at 11 AM on March 24th. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Ghost Lutheran Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
