Esther Ponterio Obituary
Esther Ponterio a lifelong resident of North Tonawanda, NY, passed away suddenly on August 28, 2016. Esther retired from National Fuel and was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Parish. A lifelong shopper, she was one to truly find the good buys.
She is survived by her niece, Roberta (nee Banks) (Phillip D.) Slaiman of Hilliard, OH and their children, Sarah Slaiman Chebli (Muhammad) of Monmouth Junction, NJ, Rachel Slaiman (fiance' John Payumo) of Bayonne, NJ and Laura Slaiman of Queens, NY. Dear aunt, Michael (Mary) Ponterio and Ann Ponterio; great aunt of Salma and Ahmad Chebli. Also survived by many friends and aquantainces near and far.
Esther was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Julia Ponterio. Her brother, John (Jack) Ponterio; sisters, Mary, Carmella and Edith Ponterio Banks; and her brother-in-law, Robert E. Banks.
Friends are welcome to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM on Friday at St. Jude the Apostle Parish, 800 Niagara Falls Blvd., North Tonawanda. Arrangements by the Brunner Funeral Home.
