Darcia Clary passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at Buffalo General Hospital on March 5, 2016. Darcia was born in Batavia on September 3, 1960 to Mel and Joyce (Kranz) Clary.
Darcia was a 1978 graduate of Akron Central High School. She chose nursing as a profession. Her nursing career took her to Niagara Falls where she met Richard Coppede. They had a son together in 1988. She worked at E.C.M.C and Niagara Falls Memorial. She became very involved with Cataract Little League Football while supporting her son,and serving on the board for 25 years as treasurer. Darcia was also a booster for the Niagara Falls High School Wrestling Team from 2004 - 2007. She loved supporting family in athletics, especially this past year traveling to Pittsburgh to watch Qadree. She cherished time gardening, outdoor activities, and spending time with her dog Rupert, which was her best friend.
Darcia is survived by her children, Joshua Coppede, Qadree Ollison, and Wayne Ollison, Jr. as well as her significant other, Wayne Ollison Sr., all of Niagara Falls; a brother, David (Nancy) Clary of Medina; a sister, Debbie Clary of Depew; and grandchildren, Bella Resweber and DaWayne Ollison.
Friends and relatives may call from 3-7 PM on Friday, March 11th at Ross Funeral Home of Akron, LLC, 10 Eckerson Avenue. A funeral service will take place on Friday at 7 PM. Charitable donations may be made in Darcia's memory to the following organizations: Cataract Youth Football, P.O. Box 223, Niagara Falls, NY 14302; S.P.C.A., 2100 Lockport Rd., Niagara Falls, NY 14304.
