Claudia N. Smith, 77, of Wilson passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at Niagara County Hospice House after a courageous battle with colon cancer. Claudia was born to Iver and June Hansen on April 14, 1939.

She was a stay-at-home mom who enjoyed instilling a zest for life in everyone she came into contact with. She enjoyed a good party with all of her friends, her fun-filled life with her loving husband and kids. She was a talented artist and a great cook. Claudia loved Saturday brunches, her animals, gardening, laughter and doing things her way. She left a lasting impression at Niagara Hospice with her original personality and her pink Mohawk.

She was predeceased by her beloved spouse, Leonard Smith; and is survived by her children, Leonard Smith, Jr., Christopher (Tracy) Smith and Kelly Martin; as well as her grandchildren, Taylor Smith, Blake Smith, Chelsea Martin, Joshua Martin, Nicholas Martin, Cassandra Martin, Jessica Smith and Amber Smith; as well as her brother, Joe (Nancy) Hansen; along with many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.

Claudia asks that donations be made to Niagara Hospice as she was so grateful for the loving care she received.
