Niagara Falls, New York - Carmela Monaco born on July 16, 1932 in Vieste, Italy and passed away on June 30, 2024 in Niagara Falls, NY at the age of 91.

Beloved wife of the late Giovanni B. Monaco; devoted mother of Joseph (Cheryl) Monaco, MaryLina Josey and the late Vincenzo Monaco; cherished grandmother of Mandilee (Joshua Kanouse) Gromoll and the late Marcella Adrianna Monaco; loving daughter of the late Vincenzo and Rosa (nee Ricci) DePetris of Italy; dear sister of the late Gina, Nicola and Giovanni DePetris all of Italy. Also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family will be present on Friday, July 5th from 3-7 PM at the SPALLINO-AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, (same location as Otto-Redanz Funeral Home) where prayers will be offered on Saturday, July 6th, at 9:15 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial from at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Ave. at 10:00 AM.

Carmela was a member of the Ladies of Mt. Carmel Society, a Eucharistic Minister at St. Joseph Church, member of the Outreach Program at St. Joseph for over 25 years, enjoyed cooking, gardening, playing cards, occasional trips to the casino, spending time with her family and dogs.
