Carl R. Brown of Wilson, March 17, 2016, with his family at his side. Born on July 10, 1937 in Niagara Falls, he is the son of the late George and Gladys (Haslam) Brown.
He attended local schools in Niagara Falls where he met Barbara (Augerot) Brown as a teenager. They were married on September 24, 1955 in Niagara Falls. His father owned Brown's Garage on Hyde Park and Lockport Road where as a teenager he ran the garage as well was a mechanic and had a horse named Tarzan. Carl loved all things western, movies, books, dancing and jamborees. He liked the old time country music spending time with friends and family and every summer camping at Wildwood.
Surviving are his children, Sherry (Curtis) Horanburg of Burt, Mark (Lori) Brown of Wilson, Dawn (Jeff) Monroe of Wilson, Renee Carpenter of Burt. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Amber, Nicholas, Jesse, Jena, Jeremy, Zack, Seth, Makena, and Ty. Great-grandchildren, Tyler, Gracie, Renton, Jonny, Lilia, Jonah, and Emerson; and a brother, Ron (Lucky) Brown of Geneva. Predeceasing is his wife, Barbara, on February 3, 2001; daughter, Deborah Ann Brown, June 6, 1977; brother, Harold Brown; and sister, June Grandin.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 1-3 PM and 6-8 PM in the Hamilton and Clark Funeral Home, 270 Young Street, Wilson, where funeral services will be on Wednesday at 11 AM.
