Allen F. McGreevy Obituary
Sanborn, NY - Of Sanborn, NY, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, in the Brothers of Mercy Rehabilitation Center.
He was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on December 14, 1927, a son of the late Francis and Margaret [Allen] McGreevy.
Mr. McGreevy was a graduate of Trott Vocational High School and served with the US Army during World War II. After returning from the service, he began working at Kimberly Clark and later as an instrument technician with Linde in Tonawanda for over 20 years before retiring.
He was actively involved with the Sanborn Area Historical Society (SAHS), Immaculate Conception Church, the JC's and served on the Board of Directors of the Sanborn Library.
Mr. McGreevy enjoyed woodworking and gardening.
He was the husband of 71 years to the late Betty T. [Tymjack] McGreevy, who passed away in 2021.
Mr. McGreevy is survived by his sons Michael (Ellen) and Paul McGreevy, also several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Edward, John McGreevy and Jean (Jim) Winters.
His family will be present on Sunday, May 17 from 3-7 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY.
Everyone is invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, May 18 at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 4671 Townline Road, Ransomville, NY.
Memorials may be made in his name to the Sanborn Library or SAHS.
Interment with Military Honors in North Ridge Cemetery, Town of Cambria, NY.
