Alexander Brown of Newfane, NY, husband of Marsha A. Johnson Brown, entered into rest Thursday, March 7, 2019 in Millard Fillmore Hospital. He was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, November 29, 1942, the son of the late James R. and Christina D. Crombie Brown.
He was USAF serving his country from 8/15/1961-7/1/1995, retiring as Chief Master Sergeant. He had six different assignments during his years of service: Salina, KS, Netherlands, Presque Isle, ME, Thailand, Rome, NY and Niagara Falls, NY. Alex was a 50-year member of Charlotteville Lodge #73, four years past master, DAS award recipient, 48-year member of Newfane Chapter #743, OES, 23 years of Worthy Patron, Past District Grand Lecturer in 1979. Life member of Hartland Conservation Club and Life member of the NRA.
Father of Alexander (Elizabeth Ann) Brown, Jr. of Newfane and Douglas A. (JoAnn) Brown of Lockport. Grandfather of Mara L. (Marques Johnson) Brown, Aaron R. (Erin Brady) Brown, Richard R. (Kayleigh Tuttle) Brown. Great- grandfather of Jaelynn K. Roberts and Jaida B. Roberts. Brother of James R. Brown, Jr. of Newfane and the late Jane L.B. Wales. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
No prior visitation. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of family in Corwin Cemetery.
