Yolanda's Story

Yolanda Pascucci, 83, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Saturday, June 10th, 2017 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, she was the beloved daughter of Giacomo 'James' and Anna (Rovera) Conte, formerly of San Damiano Macra, Italy.
Yolanda graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1952 and has stayed active on the reunion committee for the Class of 1952. She married her loving husband, Salvatore 'Sam' Pascucci, on August, 5, 1961 at the former Sacred Heart Church in Niagara Falls. They spent 53 memorable years together before his passing on July 22, 2015.
Yolanda was employed as a secretary for the Niagara Falls Board of Education business office for many years until her retirement.
Mrs. Pascucci was a longtime golfer and member of the Women's league at Hyde Park Golf Course. She was also an avid bowler and member of the Hyde Park Bocce League. Yolanda enjoyed cooking and tending to her garden, but especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Yolanda is survived by her two children, Gary (Cecelia) Pascucci and Daniel Pascucci; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Anna Pascucci; one brother, Renato (Lucy Smeal) Conte; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brothers, Reno (late Claire) Conte, Robert (Barbara) Conte, and her infant brother, Mario Conte.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 13th, 2017 from 4-8 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, where funeral services will begin on Wednesday at 9:15 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Holy Family Parish at Mt. Carmel Church, 27th Street and Independence Avenue, Niagara Falls. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery.
