KOWALSKI, Victoria R., April 5, 2016, at the age of 89. Born in Buffalo on New Years Day in 1927, she was the beloved daughter of the late Robert B. and Martha (nee Miller) Kowalski.
Victoria graduated from South Park High School and Buffalo State Teachers College. She began teaching in Niagara Falls elementary schools in 1947, where she taught for 39 years until retirement in 1986. She was a member of the Niagara Falls Retired Teachers Association and the NYS Retired Teacher's Association. She enjoyed gardening, crossword and crytogram puzzles. She traveled extensively across the US and Canada, to Hawaii, Alaska and Mexico as well as to many countries in Europe including Russia. While in Rome she attended six masses celebrated by the Pope.
Victoria is predeceased by her dear siblings, the late Helen J., Dolores and Eugene Kowalski. She is survived by her cousins, Michael (Shayna Israel) Miller, James Miller and Gary (Holly) Miller.
The family will be present on Friday from 4-8 PM at the (Tonawanda Chapel) AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC. , 2600 Sheridan Drive (corner of Parker Blvd) where prayers will be offered on Saturday at 11:45 AM and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 PM from St. Christopher Church.
