Shirley Jean (Melcher) Page, a longtime resident of Niagara Falls, died on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at home, while receiving care from Niagara Hospice. She was 81. She was born in Lockport, NY on May 16, 1936, the daughter of the late Merle and Marie (Boots) Melcher. She attended Lockport schools. Mrs. Page worked for the former Water Wheel Restaurant as a cook, retiring 21 years ago.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Frank W. Page; a daughter, Lynn (late Nicholas) Bonghi of Niagara Falls; a son, Frank E. (Tisha) Page of Niagara Falls; grandchildren, Jennifer (Joe) Haney, Danielle (Chris) Soro, Ashely Hutton, Alex Hutton, Nicole Page; three great-grandchildren, Korben, Emily and Brielle; step-grandchildren, Kristin, Eric, Richard; nine step-great-grandchildren; a brother, William Melcher of Rochester; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Patricia Page Soro and fourteen siblings.
Private services were held at the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC. with burial in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery.
