Rosemary Garvey of Niagara Falls passed away on December 25, 2016, at St. Mary's Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Osceola Mills, PA, Rosemary grew up in Niagara Falls, NY, and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. She then lived and worked in Phoenix, AZ, where she retired from St. Luke's Medical Center, returning to Niagara Falls in 2004 to be closer to family.
Rosemary was best known for her giving spirit and always had a ready joke to share. She was an inspiration to us all as she overcame serious health challenges with a positive attitude.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary Ciera; three beloved grandchildren, Shannon (Michael) Getz, Timothy (Alyssa Dillon), and Patrick (Lauren Ciurzynski); two great-grandchildren, Reagan Getz and Davin Ciera; three sisters, Kathleen Banks of Lewiston, Frances Powell of Austin, TX, and Patricia Schiesser of Anaheim, CA; and several nieces and nephews.
