Richard A. Hann, lifetime area resident, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 after a brief illness. He was 68. He was born in Niagara Falls on October 10, 1948, a son of Frances (Johnston) Hann and the late Albert Bailey Hann.
Richard graduated from LaSalle Senior High School and Indiana University and then worked as a property assessor for the Town of Niagara until his retirement. He was a longtime member of Riverside Presbyterian Church and the Niagara LaSalle Lodge 132 F. & A.M. where he served as Master for two years.
Richard is survived by his loving mother, Frances J. Hann; his niece, Nicole Hann-Hamilton; and two great-nephews, Noah and Brady Hamilton. He is also survived by his uncle, Peter (Ann) Johnston; and three aunts, Phyllis (late Floyd) Eisenman, Dora (late John) Johnston and Ruth (late Tom) Tomasko (of Virginia). In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his brother, John Hann; two uncles, William (Tasha) Johnston of Nebraska and John (Dora) Johnston; and three aunts, Mary Jane (late Kenneth) Kile, Nora Lee (late Harold) Holling and Margaret (late Henry) Juergens-Klomp.
Friends may call at the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue on Friday from 5-8 PM, where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 AM, followed by burial in North Ridge Cemetery in Cambria.
