Patricia Ann Williams, a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on September 24, 2017 at the Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. She is the daughter of the late James L. Williams and Ada L. Williams.
Pat was baptized at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church at age nine and was active in the choir and other youth groups. In her adult years she served on the Usher Board, the Kitchen and Hospitality Committee and the Beautification Committee. Known for her culinary skills members and friends sought out her baked goods. Following graduation from Niagara Falls High School, she pursued a Bachelors Degree in English at the University at Buffalo. Patty enjoyed gardening and she took pride in her landscape; her flower beds and roses always were spectacular.
Compassionate and loving, Patricia enjoyed spending time with her family and she devoted her life to children. She established Pampering Patty's Daycare Center and she became a foster mother to many. She was a caregiver to all who entered her home. She found her calling when she became a classroom associate at Niagara Falls High School. While she was on sick leave, a student and his parents came to visit her at home because they wanted to thank her for her compassion and commitment to their child's growth and development. She will be missed by the many lives she encountered on her life's journey.
Patricia leaves to cherish her memory and to carry on her legacy her children, Brian S. Archie, Sr., (Latresse), Ronda Griggs, Tamia Kent, Alex, Shanice and Aiden Williams and special children, Simone Bradberry and Latrice Perkins. She is survived by her mother, Ada L. Williams; and siblings, Dr. Lillian S. Williams, Barbara J. Williams-Jenkins, Joyce M. Williams, Stephanie W. Cowart (Allen), Isaac L. (Bernice) and T. Christopher Williams; and a host of nieces; nephews; and friends, especially, Barbara Lane, and Deborah A. Washington; and sister-in-law, Brenda Archie and Clarence Bryant.
"Gramma" will be dearly missed by her grandchildren; Brandon, Lateef, Bria, and Brionna Archie, Capri Peay, Nasir Ackers and Aubrey Williams; great-grandchildren, Jayden, Sincere, Christian, and Brison Archie and Mya Leigh Christina. She was predeceased by her father, James L. Williams, Sr.; grandson, Brian S. Archie, Jr.; and brothers, James L. Williams, Jr. and Rafi Taha, (Robert B. Williams).
The Home Going Service will be held at the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church on Friday, September 29th. Visitation from 10:00 AM - 12:00 Noon, followed by service at 12:00.
