Patricia D. (Ochab) Bauer, 64, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, on March 11, 1952 she was the daughter of the late Francis Ochab and Elizabeth (Wess) Ochab.
Patricia was a teacher for 30 plus years in the Catholic education system in Buffalo, Niagara Falls and lastly at St. Peter's Lutheran School. She was also a permanent substitute teacher at Harry F. Abate.
She was a member of First Presbyterian church, where she was a clerk of session and taught Sunday school. She was also a former moderator for women at Bacon Memorial Presbyterian, vice president of the Presbyterian church for women and the north cluster leader of Presbyterian women.
Besides her mother she is survived by her step-daughters, Colleen (Joseph) Basso and Tammy (Bernard) Swanekamp; seven grandchildren; and dear friends, Frances (Ron) Clements. Besides her father she was predeceased by her husband, Michael E. Bauer.
There is NO PRIOR visitation. A Memorial service will be held 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 19th at Bacon Memorial Presbyterian Church, 166 59th Street, Niagara Falls, NY, with Rev. Dr. O. Lee Holliday officiating. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
Patricia was an animal lover, so per her wishes in lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Niagara County SPCA, 2100 Lockport Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304.
