Pamela Hook, 60, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 6th, 2016 at Mt. St. Mary's hospital surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the cherished daughter of the late John G. and June Anne (Hughes) Travis.
Pam was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, where she graduated from Niagara Falls High School. On August 16, 1974, she married her high school sweetheart, James E. Hook, at Mt. Carmel Church and spent 42 beautiful years together. Pam was a passionate lover of children and devoted much of her time as a caretaker to many including her precious grandchildren, who she centered her life around. She will be truly remembered for her warm and giving heart.
In her leisure time, she enjoyed completing puzzles, antiquing, gathering collectibles and tending to her delightful gardens. She also enjoyed spending time at her family's summer cottage in Canada with friends and family.
In addition to her loving husband, Pam is survived by her children, Tina (Wille) Pugh and James E. (Charlotte) Hook, III; grandchildren, Khadija, Amar, Kayla, Margaux, Sylvie; and was predeceased by her brother John Edward (Jane Ball of N.F.) Travis. She is also survived by her special aunt, Corrine "Corky" (late Carl) Rotella and dear cousin Mary Cimino, who was like a sister to her. She was also the loving niece of Lillain (late Joseph) Travis and sister-in-law of Connie (Jack) Sikora, Gloria (Frank) Rotella, Candy (Jim) Marinello and Mary (Jim) Palumbo. Pam is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 10th from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 P.M. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, where funeral services will begin on Wednesday at 9:15 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 A.M. at St. Vincent de Paul Parish at Prince of Peace Church, 1055 N. Military Road, Niagara Falls. Entombment in St. Joseph Cemetery.
