Norman D. Conklin, Sr., 76, of the Town of Niagara, NY, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2017. He was born in Burlington Township, Towanda, Pennsylvania on June 9, 1940 to Edward Conklin, Sr. and Anna (Strope) Conklin.
He married Patricia Anne (Clarke) Conklin on November 27, 1959. They were happily married for almost 34 years before she predeceased him on November 4, 1993. Norman was retired from Wilbert Burial Vault Company. Norm was the president of the ReUnited Seniors Group, loved going to the casinos, playing euchre and going to the Town of Niagara Senior Center for lunch.
He is survived by his four children, Norman D. (Brenda) Conklin, Jr., Sean (Tawanna) Conklin, Shannon (Roger) Alexis and DiDi (late Dave) Conklin-Cleveley. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Vincent and Angelina Carr, Carrie Bagby, Nicolas and Alina Alexis, Gabrielle and Megan Cleveley, Sean and Dominic Conklin; and two brothers, Edward Conklin, Jr. and James Conklin, Sr. He was predeceased by his grandson, Norman D. Conklin, III; and two sisters, Patricia Seger and Jean Seger.
Friends may call at the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue on Thursday from 2-4 PM. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery in Lewiston.
