Leonard C.'s Story
Leonard C. 'Moose' Kreamer, lifetime resident of Niagara Falls, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 11, 2016 after a brief illness. He was 75. He was born in Niagara Falls on March 21, 1941, a son of the late Leonard and Olga (Cornelius) Kreamer.
He attended local schools and graduated from LaSalle High School. He worked for many years at Great Lakes Carbon until his retirement. Moose was a 61-year member of Frontier Fire Hall, joining when he was 14. He was also a member of the Fire Police, was an avid New York Yankees fan and enjoyed walking.
He is survived by three children, Candy Sue (Richard) Malaney, Anthony (Karen) Wiatr and Tammy (James) Schmeltz; 14 grandchildren, Jessica, LeeAnn and Justin Wiatr, Nicholas, Jacob, Alexa, Jamie and Tyler Schmeltz and Erin, Casaundra, Richard II, Nathan and Abby Malaney and Julie Tuman. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Kodi, Gianna Wiatr and Noah Tuman; and two daughters-in-law, Annette (late Ron) Kreamer and Chong (late Paul) Wiatr.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Sandra (Moody) Kreamer (1975); his second wife, Barbara (York) Kreamer (2002); three sons, James Kreamer (1992), Ronald (Annette) Kreamer (2001), Paul (Chong) Wiatr (2010); and four siblings, Pat Warrich, Lillian Peterson, Irene Walker and Edward Cornelius.
Friends may call at the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue on Friday from 11 AM - 2 PM and 4-7 PM where funeral services will be held at 7 PM. Burial will be in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery in Lewiston.
