Kenneth M.'s Story
1954 - 2017
Kenneth M. Kile, formerly of Youngstown, NY, passed away at his home in Syracuse, NY on August 16, 2017. He was the son of Kenneth G. Kile and MaryJane (Johnston) Kile of Lake Rd., Youngstown, NY.
He was a graduage of Lewport HS class of 1972 and a graduate of SUNY at Potsdam. Kenneth had been a resident of Syracuse for almost 40 years, teaching school at Onondaga Community College for 35 plus years.
Kenneth was an Eagle Scout of Troop 29, Youngstown, NY, and later of Troop 829 of Greater Niagara Council. He spent many summers as a scout and camp counselor at Scouts Northern Lights Camp near Minden, Ont., Canada.
He is survived by a brother, Joseph M. Kile of Lewiston, NY (LPSH class 1965); sister, Leona 'Nonnie' (Ronald) Sweat (LPHS class of 1954); newphew, Michael Miller; niece, Linda Miller, all of Rochester.
Also survived by his aunt, Francis (Johnston) Hann of Niagara Falls, NY; aunt, Phyllis (Johnston) Eisenman of Town of Wheatfield, NY; aunt, Ruth (Johnston) Tomasko of Springfield, VA; and uncle, Peter 'Butch' (Anne) Johnston of Youngstown, NY. And lstly, but not least, 20 plus cousins form the Kile and Johnston families of WNY, NYS and other parts of the country.
Brother, you were loved dearly and will be missed. May you be at peace and free of pain.
