June Carrie Thomas of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2016 in the Niagara Rehabilitation Center, Niagara Falls, NY. She was born in Askum, PA, on July 16, 1927, the daughter of the late Joseph and Carrie M. (Grose) Davis.
Mrs. Thomas came to Niagara Falls on her Honeymoon and never left. She was employed at Kimberly Clark and later as a nurses aide and central services at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for over 25 years.
Mrs. Thomas was a member of the Niagara Frontier Bible Church and the Sweet Adelines. She volunteered with Dr. Wallens and Niagara Hospice. Her greatest joys were her grandsons, doing crafts, knitting and singing.
Mrs. Thomas was the wife of the late William G. Thomas, Sr.; and mother of the late William G. Thomas, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Carrie Mae (William) Thomas Higdon; her daughter-in-law, Dorcas Ann Thomas; three grandsons, Michael William (Mary Ann) Thomas, William G. Thomas III and Adam Davis (Kelli) Thomas; two great-grandsons, Frank and Theo Thomas; one brother, Harold M. (Marion) Davis. Also many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Thomas was the sister of the late Frankie, William, Joseph (Daisy), Edmund, Robert, Ellsworth J. (Margaret), George and Joseph Davis, Beatrice (Harold) Littner, Margaret (Gordon) Squire, Florence (Albert) Gorski, Pearl (Edward) Golumb and Mabel B. Davis.
Her family will be present on Saturday from 9-10 AM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 1124 Ontario Ave., NIAGARA FALLS, NY, where funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, with the Rev. Richard Neumann officiating. Memorials may be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association or to the Niagara Frontier Bible Church. Interment in White Chapel Memorial Park, Amherst, NY.
