Julie's Story

Julie J. (Jakubek) Navis passed away on September 25, 2017 at Niagara Hospice House, Inc. She was born in Niagara Falls on July 17, 1924, the daughter of the late Mikotaj and Catherine Jakubek.
Julie attended local schools. She worked as a waitress at the Niagara Falls Country Club for 35 years and also at the Polish Nook Restaurant for many years.
Julie was predeceased by her husband, Stephen Navis; and is survived by her son, James S. (Linda Fiebelkorn) of Grand Island; her grandson, James S. (Andrea) Navis, Jr.; her granddaughter, Jennifer (Josh) Morreale; six great-grandchildren; her brother, Charles Jakubek of Gloversville, NY; her sister, Louise Lynch of the Town of Niagara; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her dear friends, Debbie Antonacci, Janice Navis, Mary Curylo and Kathy Kajfasz. She was predeceased by her sisters, Stella Pietrzyk and Laura Shear.
There is no visitation. Private services and interment were held in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston.
Those wishing to honor Julie are asked to consider memorial donations to Niagara Hospice, Inc. or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
