Jo-Ann Payne, of the Tuscarora Nation, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2016, at home under the care of her family and Niagara Hospice.
She was a member of the Bear Clan and was born in Niagara Falls, NY on March 12, 1948, the daughter of Carmen (Pembleton) Hill and the late Gordon Hill.
Mrs. Payne graduated from Gowanda High School in 1967. She was employed with Fisher Price in Medina, NY, for over 10 years, before retiring.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, doing beadwork, cooking and crocheting.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by three sons Michael (Melissa) Dubuc, Matthew (Lisa) Dubuc and Brian Dubuc, one daughter Veronica Dubuc, thirteen grandchildren Zachary, Joshua, Elexis, Bridget, Matthew, Sabrina, Dominick, Alissa, Max, Maya, Trey, Kiera and Jada, three great grandchildren Hugh, Harlen and Aaliyah, three brothers Gordon (Rosemary) Hill, Franklin (Jewel) White and Alan (Katherine) White, one sister Toni Lee (Glade) Sexton, her good friend Bob Coon and many nieces and nephews.
She was the grandmother of the late Shoney Dubuc
Her family will be present on Monday, from 4-7 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, where funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM, with the Rev. Walter Printup officiating.
