Jerald R. "Jay" Irving, lifetime resident of Niagara Falls, passed away suddenly on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Buffalo General Hospital after a brief illness. He was 52. He was born in Niagara Falls on July 23, 1963, a son of the late William and Gertrude (Leach) Irving. Jay graduated from NFHS then worked as a porter at several area restaurants, most recently at Olympia Restaurant where he was employed until his passing.
He enjoyed working on cars but his greatest joy was his family and helping and giving to others.
He is survived by 6 siblings: Douglas Irving, Lynn Irving, Herb (Edna) Irving, Phillip Irving, Victoria (John) Celenza and Loretta Felvus. Jay is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call at the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue on Tuesday from 2-7 P.M. All are invited to attend a Funeral Service at Jay’s graveside on Wednesday at 10:30 A.M. at Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, 5871 Military Road, Lewiston, N.Y. 14092.
