James D. "Dog" Wilson, 69, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away suddenly, on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at DeGraff Memorial Hospital. Born on July 28, 1946 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Harold and Helen Wilson.
Mr. Wilson was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls and graduated from the former Trott Vocational High School. James proudly served in the United States Army, during the Vietnam War. After many years as a factory worker James proudly retired. Jim's passion and happiness was playing cards with his many friends, umpiring softball and referring volleyball games.
Mr. Wilson is survived by three children, Amy Wilson, Angela (Carrie) Wilson and Derek Wilson and former spouse Marlene; five grandchildren, Chelsea, Nathan, Calvin, Courtnie and Hailie; one great-grandson, Jackson; two siblings, Sandy and Chuck; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be on Monday from 4-8 p.m. in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 22nd at 10:00 a.m. Interment, with military honors, will follow in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
