Helen Margaret (Pifer) Snyder, longtime resident of Niagara Falls, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at her home. She was 96 years old. She was born in Reynoldsville, PA on April 15, 1919, daughter of the late Ivan and Ruth (Deemer) Pifer. She attended Pennsylvania schools and then moved to Niagara Falls after she married Arthur Snyder. She briefly worked at Kimberly-Clark before she became a homemaker to raise her children. Mrs. Snyder enjoyed chocolate, country music and time with her family.
She is survived by her son, Dean (Susan) Snyder of Youngstown, her daughter, Lou Ann Raymond of Niagara Falls (who passed away two days after Mrs. Snyder), two grandchildren: Kristen Snyder of Youngstown and Jennifer Raymond of Ransomville and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by her brother Lawrence Pifer.
There will be no prior visitation and burial will be in Alfred, New York.
