Genevieve's Story

Genevieve Rogozinski, 90, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2016 surrounded by her family. Born in Lipowiec, Poland on October 10, 1925 she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Anastazia (Hyrta) Kopiej and attended schools there. In 1941 she went to Germany to a labor camp till 1945. Then she went on to a displace person camp in Wildflecken, Germany till 1949. Genevieve came to the United States and became a U.S. citizen in 1955. She worked as a Machine Operator for 22 years at Kimberly Clark.
She is survived by one sister, Josephine Warianka of Poland ; niece & nephews, Mary Inyshan Strombols, Stephanie(Paul) Rossetto and Paul Kopy all of Canada. She is also survived by several other nieces, nephews and great-nieces & nephews in Poland and England. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Roman Rogozinski; brother, Theodore Kopy and sister, Anna Dutko.
