Edward A.'s Story
Edward was born on May 6, 1950 in Niagara Falls, New York, and then grew up in Sanborn, NY. He was the son of the late Edward and Gladys (Parka) Struzik.
He graduated Niagara-Wheatfield High School in 1968 and went on to graduate from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He had been living in Los Angeles for over 30 years.
Edward passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2017 after a lengthy illness.
He was a very talented interior designer who worked with J. Robert Scott Designs in Los Angeles, started the Ed Struzik and Associates Design Firm and designed several rooms over the years for the Los Angeles Design House charity event. He received numerous awards for his work in the design field as well as in the community. His love and talent for design was highlighted several times in the magazine Architectural Design.
He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family, as well as with his partner of 28 years, Dan Riley, and his many closest friends. He will be truly missed by so many who loved him but he is at peace now.
Edward was the beloved brother of Christine (Wallace) Goodman of Wilson, Kathleen (Vincent) Cancemi of Niagara Falls; and uncle to nephews, Aaron Goodman, Matthew( Sandey) Goodman, Timothy (Sarah) Goodman, Anthony Cancemi and Vincent Cancemi, Jr. He is survived also by great-nieces, Lilly, Julia, Emma, Grace and Sophia Goodman; and great nephew, Carter Cancemi.
A mass will be said at the convenience of the family.
