Edith Rogers, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Monday, April 4, 2016 in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital.
She was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on March 12, 1931, the daughter of the late Fred and Mary [Allen] Smith.
Mrs. Rogers graduated from Trott Vocation High School and was employed at the Carborundum Company for several years.
She was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mrs. Rogers loved watching the birds, especially the cardinals and enjoyed reading and doing word puzzles.
She was the wife of the late Hugh E. Rogers, who died in April of 1999.
Mrs. Rogers is survived by one daughter Donna M. (Charles) Stevens of Sanborn, NY, one son Paul E. (Mary Anne) Rogers of Hyde Park, NY, three grandchildren Thomas (Rachel) Stevens, Sydney and Shelby Rogers, a great grandson Jefferson Monahan, two sisters Jean Banks and Elsie (Charles) Slack. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Her family will be present on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM, with the Rev. Robert Scott.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to Carly's Club, Roswell Park Alliance Foundation, Elm & Carlton Streets, Buffalo, NY 14263.
Interment in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
