David J. Wilson, of Lewiston, died on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at home of an apparent heart attack. He was 46. He was born in Syracuse, NY on August 28, 1969, the son of Michael Francis and Margaret Marie (Touranjoe) Oliveira. Moving to Niagara Falls when he was 11, David attended local schools and was a graduate of the former Trott Vocational High School. He continued his education with the Riverside School of Aeronautics and Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics. David was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
On July 31, 1993, he married the former Lisa Maurer. Together they celebrated twenty two beautiful years together, having three children, Kaitlyn Wilson, Kimberly Wilson and Kristin Wilson. He cherished his family and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed going for walks, golfing, camping and hunting. David also enjoyed the occasional game of bowling.
Most recently, he worked for SmartEdge, as Director of Business Development. Prior that that he was employed for 20 years with Ronco Communications as a Manager.
In addition to his loving wife, parents and daughters, he is survived NY two siblings, Michael Paul Oliveira (fiancee Gina Artino) and Daniel Wilson (Jessica Gilbo) both of Niagara Falls; his maternal grandmother, Shirley Touranjoe of Syracuse; a nephew, David Wilson; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends may call Wednesday from 4-8 PM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls. The interment will be private in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the American Heart Association.
