Cheryl Jean Smith Haddock, 70 years of age, of Salmon, ID passed away while at home, doing what she loved, on July 26, 2017. There will be a Memorial Service held at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 10:00 AM with Father Bob Perry conducting.
Cheryl Jean Haddock was born on August 14, 1946 in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of Howard and Clora (Mellinger) Smith. She was raised in the rural community of Cambria, near Lockport, NY and graduated from Starpoint High School. Her adventures led her to California where she met the love of her life, Stan. She and Stanton Mark Haddock were united in marriage on September 8, 1982. They welcomed two daughters, Sarah and Bethany.
In 1993, they moved from Buena Park, CA to Salmon, ID where she embraced the rural lifestyle.
She is survived by her beloved daughters, Sarah (Mike) Dodd of Missoula, MT and Bethany Haddock of Caldwell, ID; sisters, Meta (Ralph) Goodman of Greenville, SC and Lyn (Steve) Perry of Watertown, NY; nephews, Aaron Michalski of Fort Mill, SC, Jeremy Michalski of Salisbury, MD, Sandy Zobell of Spokane, WA, Alan Wesefeldt of Menifee, CA, Wendy Wesefeldt of Monroe, NY, David Pashley of Danville, VA and James Pashley of New York, NY. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Stan; parents; and her sister, Rae Smith.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salmon Animal Shelter or Salmon Public Library.
