Carol J. (Lamitina) Chapman, 54, of Fort Myers, FL, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 18, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. Carol was born to the late Michael and Katherine (Durfee) Lamitina in Warsaw, NY. Growing up in Lime Lake, NY, she attended local schools and soon after moved to Niagara Falls, NY, where she met her late husband Daniel E. Chapman.
For those who had the honor of knowing Carol knew her for her social spirit. She welcomed everyone who entered her life. She loved being surrounded by her friends and her loved ones. Her favorite places were her backyard and lanai where she enjoyed gardening, bird watching, playing Yahtzee, and bon fires, but she was most comfortable in the kitchen where she had a passion for cooking and baking. She also enjoyed camping with her family.
Carol survived by her sons, Michael (Marissa) Chapman, Timothy (Katie) Chapman; and her beautiful grandchildren, Damon, Madyson and Vivienne. She was close with her son, Timothys; in-laws, Betty Lou and George Lozina. She also survived by her siblings, Michael Lamitina, Sue Reis, Patricia (Bruce) Degenfelder, Roxanne (Joe) Bentley, Joanne Lamitina and Frank (Marina) Lamitina. She had many beloved nieces and nephews.
