Burke Keogh, 60, formerly of Lewiston, NY, passed away on January 18, 2017 in Miami, Florida. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY, and was the daughter of the late John 'Jack' Keogh, Jr. and Violet Keogh.
Burke graduated from Lewiston-Porter High School in 1974. She was a well-known artist in Miami and was involved in numerous art projects there. Along with her partner, Ishmael, they worked to bring attention to the preservation of many historical, environmental and sacred sites within Miami.
She is survived by her partner, Ishmael Bermudez; brothers, Parry (Katrina) Keogh, Connlith (Pam) Keogh; and sister, Megan Keogh; niece, Lauren (Benjamin) Campbell; nephews, Joseph Passanese II; John Keogh IV; Cullen Keogh; great-niece, Violet Campbell; and great-nephews, Logan, Asher and Maddox Campbell. Burke was pre-deceased by her oldest brother, John Keogh, III.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
