Bernice (Carlisle)'s Story
Bernice (Carlisle) Wright went to meet the Lord on March 31, 2017. Born on June 17, 1946 in Niagara Falls, NY to her parents, the late Charles and Laura Carlisle.
She lived a very full life with her husband of 51 years, Douglas Wright. They had two children, Barbara Wright-DePadre and Douglas (Andrea) Wright. The family moved to Lewiston in 1979, where she lived until her passing.
Bernice was a beloved Pre-K teacher at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in the 1970's. She also provided day-care for many children. Besides children, she loved gardening, reading and cooking. She was an avid Bingo player and bowler. She will always be remembered for her great sense of humor and the unconditional love for her entire family.
Bernice leaves two brothers, Clyde (Jerri) Carlisle and Chuck (Sharon) Carlisle; grandmother of five and great-grandmother of two. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends will deeply miss her.
By her request, her body was donated to the U.B. School of Surgery. No services will be held.
