Text size

Anne Geisinger Micale, 98 years old, daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Burger) Geisinger. She was born in Krynjaja, Austria, Hungary on October 24, 1917.
In 1921, the family immigrated to the United States. Anne grew up in Buffalo, NY. On September 5, 1936, she married the love of her life, Albert Micale. He predeceased her in 1993. They lived in Brooklyn, NY for six years, then moved to Huntington, Long, Island, NY, then Scottsdale, AZ and then finally to Oneonta, NY to be with her daughter; and sister, Teresa. Anne was an avid reader, but most of all she enjoyed being a wife, mother, and being with friends.
She took great pleasure in sewing most of her own and her daughter's coats, suits, dresses, draperies and slip covers for their home. She collected antiques and refurbished them. She was an excellent cook, loved the family dogs and gardening. She was employed as a map illustrator by Airborne Instruments on Long Island; was a picture framer and did lettering for various companies.
Anne was predeceased by her sister, Teresa Geisinger. Survived by her daughter, Connie Micale Schwarting; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins in Chicago.
Anne will be buried next to her husband in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Committal Service will be held on Monday, May 16th at 1:30 PM at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
